Just a few days away is the most important interior design fair taking place in Milan from 12th to 17th April 2011. This event will take places at the Fiera Milano-Rho showcasing a multitude of events intended to involve an estimated audience of around 300,000 visitors from all over Italy and abroad.
Of particular interest this year will be the special 50th anniversary of the International Furniture Fair. To follow the day to day events as well as the most important events there will be a special FederlegnoArredo Web TV dedicated to Saloni 2011, publishing daily news, live commentary, etc. In the Congress hall there will be seminars devoted to the possible future foreign markets such as China, India, Russia and Brazil. Also worth mentioning is the Mediterranean area, where a seminar will be dedicated for that purpose. Two other major areas that will be focused are the changing purchasing patterns of consumers in the furniture and interior design sector (Focus on Reinventing Search Open Houses) and the development of the contract market ( with a guest appearance from the famous architectural company Gensler).
In addition, the Exhibition Office (Hall 24) will be showcasing 4 different workshops dedicated to the sector, which will address the issues on which companies are currently the most sensitive: how to design the best office space (Office Design Course), what impact office space that are well laid out will have on employees (focus on health, safety and welfare of workers), how and why to invest in this market and what opportunities are available today.
