Last weekend was Magners League weekend and no good news came for Italian teams: Treviso conceded four tries in a half in Belfast and the match ended with a severe 32-13 for Ulster, Viadana instead played a great match in Cardiff but they lost again. In the other matches Munster needed a 76th minute penalty to sneak past Glasgow 22-20 and preserve the leadership in the ranking even if neither Leinster nor Scarlets misfire thanks to the victories against Ospreys and Edimburgh respectively. In the first match on last Thursday the Dragons moved up one position to ninth on the Magners League table after overcoming Connacht 17-16.
Next weekend will be much more interesting because the Heineken cup will return and there will be a lot of crucial matches, starting from Toulon where it will be do or die for Munster; Leinster and Northampton will try to secure their leadership in their own pool. The top clashes will place at Ravenhill where Ulster will host Biarritz in a must-win match and at Parc y Scarlets where the Welsh will try the exploit against Leicester. In the rugby pool 6 Toulose will try to secure his quarter-final place at home with Newport and not to give hopes to Wasps that could aspire anyway as one of the two best second classified in all the pools.
Have a nice rugby time
